Which young Scot inspires you?
I am inspired by many young Scots in my course and by how they are engaged in Politics or other things that are important for them. I have met a lot of inspiring people, many of whom I became friends with. It’s amazing to have people around who motivate me to be more engaged in what I believe in.

What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I didn’t grow up in Scotland because I am German but the best thing about living in Scotland is how open-minded and nice most of the people are here. It’s not difficult to get involved because everybody is welcoming and happy to help.

What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
If I could tell older generations one thing about young people, I would tell them that young people do not want to get involved and are interested in all kinds of voluntary work but most of the time they don’t know how to do that or who to talk to. They only have to be approached and told what to do.

What is your biggest achievement to date?
I am most proud of the fact that I moved from home age 15 to live in another country and study in a specific educational programme, matched to my interests and what I am good at. I lived there on my own and had to deal with all kinds of problems without the help of my family and I am really proud of how well I managed to do this.

What would you most like to achieve in the future?
I want to be engaged in all kinds of political groups and help with sharing ideas and voluntary work wherever I can. I want to be a politician to bring my ideas across and maybe even make this world, and our impact on it, slightly better.

What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
I would advise young people in Scotland to stop doubting the fact that they can make a difference. Every voice and helping hand counts and brings us closer to what we want to achieve.
