Evie is on a training programme, and does voluntary work.
Which young Scot inspires you?
I am inspired by Malala Yousafzai because by the age of just 21 she has already changed thousands of lives for the better.
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I feel very safe here because where Scotland is placed on our tectonic plate means that we are very unlikely to suffer from the after effects of an earthquake or other environmental disaster. I also like that over here we don’t need to worry about poisonous insects, snakes etc.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
I’d like for there to be more awareness for a condition I have called Dyspraxia so that people are more understanding and sympathetic of my daily struggles.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
In the past couple of months I finally plucked up the courage to end a toxic relationship before undergoing a major operation. In these months I have overcome so much and have surprised myself with how brave and strong I can be.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
I would like to build a stable and happy life for myself. I want to make my parents proud of me.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
Stop buying clothes in high street stores and start buying clothes second-hand. Stop eating meat, go vegan. Stop wasting, start re-cycling. Let’s save our planet.
