Day 315- Emily, 15, Barrhead

Emily is in S4 and studies Maths, English, French, Art, Chemistry, Physics, PE, History and Graph Comm. She volunteers as a swimming teacher and at holiday clubs.


Which young Scot inspires you?
My mum and dad inspire me because they have brought me up and cared for me in an amazing way.

What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I love the city I live in and being so close to nature and the outdoors.

What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
That we don’t all have the same attitude to life.

What is your biggest achievement to date?
Got into the finals of the NASA design week at the UWS.

What would you most like to achieve in the future?
Go to university and go into a job that interests me.

What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
To achieve anything they aspire to!
