I’m currently in 4th year at BHS and I am studying a range of different subjects at Nat 5 level, I volunteer with 1st Chirnside Rainbows and Love getting involved in different events that are happening within my community.
Which young Scot inspires you?
The young Scots who inspire me is My Grandpa Bill, 2015 he had a horrible car accident and it left him for the worst, but he kept fighting and got through it, learning to walk again, He inspires me because he has overcome all of this and is still going making us laugh and if he can do that I can do anything I put my mind to.
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
The best thing about growing up in Scotland is the people who are in it, The people who live in my village and surrounding areas, Everyone speaks to everyone and everyone usually helps anyone if they need help or are struggling to get food in the bad snow or they can’t get out very often.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
I would like people from older generations to know that the majority of young people are interested in working with them because I think young people can learn a lot from the older generation and I feel the same way about the older generation I feel they could learn things from the younger generation and I feel it could benefit there mentality and well-being.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
My biggest achievement so far would have to be dancing in Disneyland Paris March 2017,with my dance group, It was a once in a lifetime experience that I may never get given again, I took everything in my stride and gave it my all, It was one of the best feelings in the world getting to do something that I loved in one of the most magical places on earth.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
In the future I am hoping to get a job related to travel because I feel like it’s a massive part of me and being able to do that in a job would be amazing, Also in the future I would most definitely like to travel the world as much as I can and experiencing the different countries landmark and very popular tourist attractions.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
Take every opportunity that comes your way and most importantly have fun with it, You may never get the chance to have an opportunity like that again so take it with both hands and give it your all, After all that could be an opportunity that will change your life.
