Which young Scot inspires you?
Nicola Adams inspires me as she is a fantastic boxer and she has won both commonwealth and Olympic medals. She is very strong and her technique is unbelievable. I would really like to train and meet her as she is such an inspirational person. Another person who inspires me is a girl at my School as she has neuroblastoma cancer for the third time and is still fighting it.
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I love growing up in Scotland as it is such a beautiful place and there is lots to do. The Edinburgh fringe festival is always fantastic with all the acts. The venues in Scotland are good especially the SECC.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
How they use technology to help them learn and that we don’t just play games in our phones they can be useful for research tasks and homework. Also that television can be educational and martial arts are fun and help you defend yourself.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
Getting my bronze Duke of Edinburgh as it was fun and I enjoyed doing the different sections especially the expedition which was challenging but really fun and rewarding. I enjoyed volunteering at my local vet as it was interesting as it widens my knowledge of animals.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
I would like to study vet medicine at Edinburgh university as it is something I am very passionate about it and it is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I find the study of biology very interesting.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
Live life to the fullest. As you only get one life and other people might not get the opportunity to live a full life as they might have a terminal disease and only get to live for a short time.
