Abbie studies Medicine at Dundee Uni and is the Vice Chair of the Young Scot Board.
Which young Scot inspires you?
There are too many young Scots to mention who inspire me but watch the YS Awards to see a few of them!!
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
The best thing about growing up in Scotland is the amazing people- there are so many friendly and caring people who look out for the interests of young people.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
Young people contribute a lot more to our country than you may think. They are volunteers, youth workers, teachers, doctors, nurses.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
Becoming Vice Chair of Young Scot- it is amazing to have an active role in the direction of an organisation and what it can do for young people.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
Becoming a doctor- it’s what I’ve always wanted to do.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
Do what you love, love what you do’. I think a lot of young people do what’s expected of them rather than what makes them happy.
