Day 230- Connor, 17, Cupar

Connor works at the Peat Inn as a kitchen porter and participated in the EY Foundation Smart Futures Programme over summer.

Which young Scot inspires you?
My friends inspire me because of their motivation.

What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I appreciate the free healthcare in Scotland.

What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
Not all young people are bad, and young people also care.

What is your biggest achievement to date?
My biggest achievement was getting into EY Smart Futures Programme. This is my biggest achievement because I haven’t done anything like it before.

What would you most like to achieve in the future?
When I am older, I would like to be financially comfortable with a good job. I’d like this as my family haven’t always been financially comfortable so I would like to give something back.

What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
Stick in and stay focussed as it will be the best years of your life.
