Jodie volunteers as a youth worker at a place called Towerhouse in Dunfermline which helps young people who are struggling with school. She is at school and also participated in the EY Smart Futures Programme over summer.
Which young Scot inspires you?
My friends inspire me as they are so strong and inspirational. They never let things get them down and always push people to be the best people they can be.
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I loved growing up in Scotland as there is always something to do or places to visit. The people are so lovely and the free healthcare is a bonus for people who otherwise couldn’t afford it.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
That young people are not all the same as they used to be. Not all young people are bad, most are actually quite pleasant.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
I would say my biggest achievement was getting the EY work experience as it has been an amazing experience.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
I would like to be in a successful career and be financially stable.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
Be positive and apply yourself in things you are interested in.
