Which young Scot inspires you?
Andy Murray inspires me most as he never gives up and kept on training until he became the number one tennis player in the world. He showed me that you should never give up and should follow your hopes and dreams.
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
The best thing about growing up in Scotland is having access to the great out doors very near to Glasgow. Even though I live in a city, I am surrounded by parks and out door areas where I can get to exercise all year.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
I would like the older generation to know that young people are not all lazy and we deserve a chance in employment. I get very frustrated that I want a part time job but cannot get one because I have no previous experience. You need to give young people a place to start.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
My biggest achievement to date was getting an adult black belt in karate. I got this at aged 16 after 5 years of training for it. Most girls drop out of sports when they become teenagers as it is not considered cool.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
in the future I want to finish my HND in computing next year and hopefully this will give me a place in third year of a computing degree. When I finish this I want to be a computer programmer.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
The advice that I would give other young people is never give up and don’t take no for an answer. Girls, don’t be put off in entering male dominated careers like computing as this is where jobs are going to be in the future.
