Which young Scot inspires you?
All the amazing people that I’ve met through Young Scot inspire me through their volunteering and great sense of humour.
What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I wasn’t actually born in Scotland but I came here 6 years ago to study and I feel I am now part of Scotland. From the beautiful nature and free education to all the nice warm-hearted people I’ve met, I feel I’m at home here.
What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
That young people want to a lot of things that older people do; affordable housing, job security. We aren’t all that different at all.
What is your biggest achievement to date?
Getting into uni and graduating successfully. I had to move to a new place not knowing anyone and I’m proud I managed on my own.
What would you most like to achieve in the future?
Becoming a chartered engineer.
What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.
