Day 137- Murin, 11, Glasgow

Murin is currently in primary 6 and also runs her own business selling toys.

Which young Scot inspires you?
I really admire DAN TDM who is a you tuber that plays computer games. What makes him so inspiring is that he has millions of followers and an online merchandise business. He also travels the world with his show and has millions of fans.

What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I love Scotland- I love to travel around and see the country. I am at a Gaelic School in Glasgow and I am fluent in Gaelic. I love that Scotland can bring you so many opportunities and from that I have started my own online toy business.

What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
I would like the older generations to know that people my age are very capable of a lot of things and that most of us are well behaved, well mannered individuals who are just adjusting to growing up and not moody!!

What is your biggest achievement to date?
My biggest achievement so far is to set up and run my own toy business!! I am very proud to be the owner of Unicorn Toys and enjoy running my own business, buying toys, stock taking, maintaining my website, post and packaging and selling toys to the public. I have been interviewed by Young Enterprise Scotland and been on BBC Radio Scotland- of which I am very proud of.

What would you most like to achieve in the future?
I want to have a big toy company- like Smyths Toy Superstore!! I would like to have people work for me and sell hundreds of toys to the public. I would like to sell my own merchandise one day with the Unicorn Toys Logo on it.

What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
If I could tell other young people one thing it would be just to go for it!! If you have an idea about something you want to do like running your own business- speak to your parents about it and ask for their help
