Day 124- Ailsa, 23, Edinburgh

Which young Scot inspires you?
I’m fortunate enough to have met a lot of inspiring young people through the work we do and the networks I’ve built at Standard Life.

What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I would say is the culture, the history… I quite enjoy the weather because I burn a lot, and the haggis!

What is your biggest achievement to date?
My biggest achievement to date I would say is I had the opportunity to speak at the Parliament about the importance of paying the living wage to young people which is something that means a lot to me so it was important to be able to speak about it.

What would you most like to achieve in the future?
In the future I would like to be a part of making positive change for young people and minorities in Scotland for people who aren’t as lucky as me. I got a lot of opportunities so I would like to help other people get the same.

What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
I would say believe in yourself, you are capable of more than you know, and take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way.
