Which young Scot inspires you?
Every young Scot I meet inspires me. When they share their stories, either personal or a friends, they all inspire me with their words and actions. It amazes me all the time.

What is the best thing about growing up in Scotland?
I believe my favourite thing about Scotland is the national pride. Scottish people have this pride of saying they are from Scotland or Britain and I love that, because I have nothing but pride when I say I am from Britain/Scotland.

What would you most like people from older generations to know about young people?
I think a lot of older generations have a mis-conceived perception that we are selfish when in fact we aren’t. I know so many young people who dedicate almost all of their time to volunteering and helping others.

What is your biggest achievement to date?
So far my biggest achievement I would say, was being selected to go on the Jo Cox Memorial Exchange to the USA and getting to meet the First Minister because of it. I still cannot believe I was chosen, with 20 others to partake in such an amazing experience.

What would you most like to achieve in the future?
No matter what I end up doing, I want to be able to help people everyday. That is what I want to achieve. Helping others is my passion and if I can do that for a living, I would have achieved the greatest accomplishment.

What message would you like to give to other young people in Scotland?
I know this is a cliché, but try for every opportunity you are offered. I wasn’t going to apply for the Jo Cox exchange but I did, and it changed my life. Try for anything and everything you want to do because you will be able to achieve things you never thought you could.
